The price of a Powerball ticket with Powerplay is $2. The shipping and handling is $1 on each ticket with a minimum of $7. The jackpot average for Megamillion Lottery is $80 million. Each $1 ticket entitles you to win the jackpot. You can select Quick Pick on the board or select 5 numbers and 1 gold mega ball nujmber from 1 to 52. You can play for up to 8 consecutive draws.

How to buy Lottery Tickets

Each lottery ticket costs $1. These can be purchased from us or from any lottery retailer who sells Megamillion lottery tickets.

Tickets can be purchased with random numbers or you can choose your own numbers. Random numbers are generated automatically by the lottery machine and thus you can buy any number of tickets just by requesting the lottery retailer.

To select your own numbers, you should fill up the bet slip. Five tickets can be purchased/slip each for up to 8 draws. You can also select "Cash" or "Annuity" on the bet slip. Annuity means that if you win the jackpot, the prize will be paid to you in 26 equal installments annually.

There are 9 ways to win prizes ranging from $2 to jackpot. In general, odds of winning a prize is 1 in 40. Megamillion jackpot is projected to average $80 million. After the California is added, it can surpass $500 million.

Mega Million Drawings are held at 11.00pm every Tuesday and Friday. 5 white balls are drawn from a pool of 52. 1 gold mega ball is drawn from a second pool of 52. Any one matching these 6 winning numbers wins the jackpot.

Claiming Prizes

Upon winning, sign at the back of the Megamillion ticket immediately. Then take it to any Lottery Retailer for validation. Small prizes are paid immediately at the time of the claim. Bigger prizes require you to fill up a claim form and submit it to lottery headquarters. It takes about three weeks to receive a check.

The law requires that the NJ Lottery withhold a minimum 25% of all prize payments to any Lottery winner who has won more than $5,000. Winners who do not hold a social security number are subject to a 30% federal income tax deduction on any prize over $599.50.

Winning Lottery Tickets
