| Every time the
jackpot reaches more than $25 million over the last jackpot
record, it will increase in increments of $25 million
(annuitized) per drawing until it is won. All cash in excess
of each $25 million increment is added to the “Match 5 Bonus
Pool.”
When the record jackpot is won, any player who matches five
white balls will receive the traditional $100,000 prize plus
their share of the “Match 5 Bonus Pool”. The “Match 5 Bonus
Pool” is divided equally among all Match 5 winners. The “Match
5 Bonus Pool” is not a part of the Power Play feature and will
not be multiplied. You have 60 days to decided whether to collect a jackpot prize with the
annuity or cash option. If you select the annuity option and the cost to
purchase the annuity is less than $250,000, the lottery may elect to pay
that prize as a cash option prize. If you select the cash option, the prize
will be a single cash payment equal to the amount available to the lottery
for the jackpot prize pool. The cash prize is estimated to be approximately
one-half of the estimated annuitized jackpot (the advertised jackpot paid
over 30 years), depending on current interest rates.
