This week, Mr. Patel may need to keep his store open late again. Because there was no winner in Friday's draw, the treasure chest is expected to grow to $165 million for Tuesday's 11 p.m. drawing.

        “Next week people will go more crazy,” he said. “We had people coming in until the last moment” Friday, so the store remained open a half-hour past its normal 10 p.m. close.

        “People are spending money,” he said. “They are so happy for Mega Millions.”

        Mega Millions, which includes nine states, arrived in Ohio in May. The lottery, as The Big Game, offered the largest jackpot in North American history in 2000, a $363 million prize.

  Friday's winning numbers were 13, 19, 23, 38, 47 and the Mega Ball was 15. No one matched them all, but there were 13 second-prize winners, who won $175,000 by matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball.
