One ticket in the Friday, April 9, 2004 drawing matched all six numbers to win the estimated $105 million jackpot. The ticket was sold in Kensington, Maryland. This jackpot win also comes just one week after the $239 million Virginia winners from the February 20 drawing came forward to claim their prize.

Friday's winning Mega Millions numbers were 02-08-10-11-23 and the Mega Ball number was 40.

The jackpot winner is one of 763,624 tickets that won prizes in Friday's drawing. That includes 22 tickets that came within just one number of hitting the jackpot. Each of these tickets missed only the last Mega Ball number to win Mega Millions' second prize of $175,000. These winning tickets were sold in Georgia (1), Illinois (1), Maryland (1), Michigan (2), New Jersey (5), New York (8), Ohio (3), and Virginia (1).
