A police lieutenant says thay don't believe she's lying, but there's no real way of knowing other than her word. They say information she knew about purchase time and how the numbers were picked make her story credible.

Battle cried as she told a reporter how badly she feels about what happened. She says she's praying that someone finds the ticket, brings it forward and gets rewarded. She's planning a news conference for Tuesday.

Police say lottery rules do little to help the woman if someone else turns in the ticket.

The winning numbers for the ticket sold last Tuesday were: 12, 18, 21, 32 and 46. The Mega Ball number was 49.

She said the contents of her purse -- including the lottery ticket -- spilled out. She thought she picked up everything but realized after the December 30th drawing that the ticket was missing.
